TBH - I don't rate insurance for small animals personal opinion really. I just find that although we come up with a lot of vet bills - we manage them (they are never anywhere near as high as dogs etc). I know we can't actually insure rats anyway - and I am sure you can't insure guineas or chinchillas either. Might be an idea to insure rabbits though.

Glad you got everything sorted Micky ! A littlefriend for him would be nice. I don't insure my little animals most vet bills are fairly reasonable.

He might be happier on his own unless you get him a neutered female because two male guinea pigs don't always get on together. I had to separate two of mine that were put together very young because the younger one was bullying the older one and the older one was losing lots of weight because he was stressed out and also had a large bite in the middle of his back. He is happily living in my kitchen now on his own. I also had two other males in the past that were bought together but one started fighting the other.
