1 down 3 to go

As some may know we have quite a few pregnant dogs in and Daisy the cairn has had us on tenderhooks for days.
She had been in labour about 12 hours and we had sat with her all night and day.
As she is an ex breeder and has scars of a c section we were worried so wanted to watch her.
We had to go pick kid sup from school and just as we both returned we saw what looked like feet hanging out of her rear but she wasnt contractin as she should of so couldnt get it out.
Hannah the foster Mum stepped in and pulled the pup out and gave to Mum he was lifeless she couldnt get him going so Hannah took him and got him going thankfully.
She had a lovely birthing pen but decided to give birth in an old cupboard so we put some of the vet bed down for her.
2 hours later still nothing and she seemed weird so took her to vets but was scanned and no more pups there was just the one now named Bubba.
In the car we had to take pup of her as she went nuts and was standing on him and Hannah put him down her breast as he seemed very cold but now back at home all happy in her bed and feeding well. What a long 2 days.
I am useless at this whelping malarky just panic.

Not moving

Safe and sound home after vets

Oh whelping time is the worse thing..I was always so worried. Thank goodness the little pup arrived safe and sound.

I'm sure mum and baby will continue to thrive under your care. xx
