I wanted to join a dog forum to interact with other dog lovers since my youngest Akita Suki was diagnosed with Epilepsy. She had one fit on Sunday (03.10.10) at around 3 p.m. and another fit on Monday the next day at around 11.30 a.m. Because of of Suki's condition i wanted to find out as much as possible about what to do, i never knew dog's could get it? We did go to the vets straight away! Well, they do say dog's and humans are very much alike and this is SO true in many ways. Crying, panicing and getting upset when fit's do come aren't the way to help your dog (this ive found hard)... As ive found out through research. It's early days yet and my girlfriend Natalie and i want do all we can as pet's are our lives really, especially our Akita's Keiko (4) and more so Suki (3) as she need's our help. Very upsetting times at the moment but as the weeks pass im sure things will get better and easier to understand. I'm glad to be a part of this new found website. Paul.
