Poor Nigredo this morning...

So this is the gist of what it looks like for anyone that has been following our troubles. Awful. We are going into the vet later today to sort this out. I have no idea what is wrong...

He's being a champ and aside from limping like that, is his normal curly tailed, happy, independent guy. Please wish us well at the vets... I hope he'll be okay. I'm so worried...

Poor lad ..My boy was pretty much the same, the vet sent me straight to see his consultant as he has neurological problems and thought it was connected. When I saw him he suspected a twist in his back and told me to leave it for a few days and sure enough 48 hours later he was bouncing around again. He never appeared to be in pain, think it was more numb than sore. I really hope Nigredo has done something like this and is soon back to his happy self. Good luck, what a worry for you.

Thank you for the reassurance. Nigredo has been roughly like this since about 3 a.m. yesterday. It's been well over a day with almost no improvement. Nigredo is not acting like it hurts, which brings me comfort.

He has no known neurological problems, I have no idea what tests to request. Can you offer anything I may need to request? I'm prepared to pay what it costs, I can't bear to see him like this.

It wasn't anything to do with his brain damage. On hindsight I recalled him acting up in the back of the car the night before trying to get to my sister in the front climbing over the rear seats then having to turn round to himself get back.. I believe he twisted his back then. I am just wondering if Nigredo twisted his back getting up quickly when he fell off the bed. It doesn't appear to be a neurological problem to me as though he is lame his cordination seems in tact... I mean is legs are not crossing over each other or keep getting misplaced if you know what I mean.

He does, Lynn. His rear right leg is causing him some problems. He did not fall off the bed, he jumped down as he normally does but immediately crumpled to the floor, but did not yell or anything.
