Re: Sprocker

What best attributes do you get ??? (and how does the cross breeding filter out the worst bits LOL) I know that was a silly question.

What do you plan to do with her? Any pics?

Re: Sprocker

Hi welcome to Dogsey. Please post pics of your new little guy. I'm glad you are very happy with him. I'm also interested to know why a Sprocker is better than a purebred Cocker or Springer though...and being cheaper is not nec a good thing. You sometimes get what you pay for regarding health testing of parents etc. Not trying to sound negative, but genuinely interested in your views.

Re: Sprocker

We want one of these, as have fallen in love with ones we have met. Also, they would fit in with the amount of exercise Tee-J gets. Where did you get yours from, and does anyone know any breeders?

I must say he is a lively puppy who has bonded with our 2 kids 4,7 respectively. He is very intelligent is has already working to sit, stay commands. He is very active and looks amazing for a Cocker male/English spaniel cross bitch. I think this breed should end up being rocognised as you have the best atributes from two great breeds producing a super retreiving breed. They are also a lot cheaper than the pure breeds.
Hello and welcome to dogs...

What you have taken on is a X between two breeds..both high energy breeds.. so you can be sure that is one trait from both breeds you are going to see.

Sprokers are not a breed they are a xbreed , some have been bred to work as some gundog folks feel they fit a purpose, but others have been bred to fill the designer breed craze.. and will sadly charge the unsuspecting new owner silly money, ...they will also never be recognized as a breed, as with all designer breeds... none conform to a standard.. as they is no stanard.

Enjoy your pup I am sure he is adorable,

Re: Sprocker

Hello and welcome to Dogsey. Glad you are happy with your puppy.

The ones i have met have been lovely, but also very intelligent and highly active.......there are loads of people on here who can give you good advice on keeping a lively puppy entertained and stimulated as well as training them.

Have you started puppy classes yet? If you haven't then it would be worth getting your name down asap, have a look at www.apdt.co.uk and find one in your area. You should be able to take your children along as well and if you go with an APDT class the methods they use should be kind, fair and affective.

Good luck - looking forward to pictures!

Re: Sprocker

Hi every one, i am new on here and we have a sprocker who is 12 weeks old, he is a fantastic dog very clever he sit's and stays he works to down command and roll over he also like to play with our children he is great with them ,He like to climb up there slide and go down it with them he gets upset if we try and stop him going up the slide he even uses the steps to climb it lol.

May i ask why some people say that sprockers are NOT a breed !!! as this is not so every animal is a breed come it a x breedthey are still a breed !!!!!!!!!
