Best time of day to use Metacam.

What are your experinces of the use of Metacam? Did you use it AM (after breakfast) or PM (after tea) ???

Flynn has been on it a week now & its a complete godsend & i kind of feel guilty for not going that way earlier (rather than continuing down the natural route)

Anyway is it better to give it PM... so after a day of activity? or AM before a day of activity?

Currently we are giving AM, & its working really well. But still interested in your views.

Arthritis - and it's just so good for her. It keeps her mobile and pretty much pain free. She still has bad days, but the good ones outweigh those, thanks to Metacam

Hi,

I split Nala's half and half (vet is happy with this). I found that giving it all at once left her some times in the day when she 'appeared' stiff.

She has been on it for around 7 years and it has been a godsend for her

When our boy was on it we always gave it in the morning with his breakfast. We were warned against giving it without food as this had caused some adverse reactions in friends dogs.

Thankyou, this is what i was considering, hes actually slightly under dosed for his body weight,so i guess i could give him the little bit extra with his tea if he was ever stiff in the evenings. Thankyou, What is Nalas Problem?

Yes , my vet advised it must be given before, mixed in , or straight after food. He does have abit of a jippy tum at times, but no problems as yet.

I do think i will be able to cut him back abit actually, will use this bottle (one month supply) then ask the vet when i go back.
Also i was amazed how cheap it was.
