Piriton

Sorry, i know we have had this thread before but i can't find it!

Vet suggested trying Tonks on Piriton for her bumpy allergy, but i can't remember the dosage. Tonks is 18kilos and i have got 4mg tablets.

Any ideas anyone?

For humans it's one tablet 3 times a day but i've no idea for dogs so you're better off ringing you vet to ask.

My vet says half tablet but Jodie is only 10 kilo

ok thank you - i gave her one yesterday with no ill effects so i pressume it is one. She was last weighed over a month ago and was 18kilos then, she has filled out a bit since then so i am sure she weighs more than that now.

Might be worth ringing the vet just to make sure of the maximum dosage.

I know that Finn when he was around 28kg could get 20ml of the syrup per day which seemed a lot to me but helped him a lot.

I can give my dog up to 4 a day and he weights 47kgs if that's any help.

Thanks for your answers. I will see how she goes on one tablet as i am sure that is not an overdose, just can;t remember if the vet said two or one!

The rash seems better already.

Usually i would phone the vet about things but i feel a bit silly that forgot what they said as soon as i put the phone down!
