The case of the mystery bird box

We've got a wee wood and stream at the bottom of our garden. We do own it and it is part of our garden but as it's out of view we tend to just ignore it and let nature look after it. It's the trees beyond the grass and the washing line

Anyway, the other day I saw something in a tree.

On closer inspection it turned out to a bird box (about 15 feet up) nailed to one of our trees. No idea how it got there.

How strange

To be honest Phil i find it rather strange.
Why would someone want to go on to anothers land to put up a bird box?
It really is beyond me.

Who cares how it got there...... it's there, and I'm sure the birds love it. Mind you, I don't suppose they really "need" a nesting box with all those wonderful trees, eh Phil?

Bit strange can you access it from the other side ? If so maybe whoever put it there didn't realise it was someones land. It is a gorgeous garden and I would love to live there.
Sure Ollie would too.

When we were in Krakow there were gorgeous parks with tree lined wide paths, and as it was so hot we were sat there in the shade. I looked up and saw a single bird box about 30ft up at least.
I thought that was strange as you'd need a blooming big ladder and why only put up one? i.e if it was council or parks dept thing surely they'd do lots.

Very surreal.
