What's the best cure for the flu?

Well I have just spent the last three days in beds with the flu (or as Michelle calls it a bad cold) because I just couldn't get my head off of the pillow as it was so congested it hurt.

Well today I have managed to get up today as I just couldn't spend anymore time in bed and have a quick look at my emails (197 in all, but 54 were crap and just got deleted straight away).

So my question is how the hell do I get rid of the pressure behind the back of my eyes as it's driving me nuts?

It sounds like sinus pain. You can buy decongestants over the counter but, in my experience, they aren't that effective. If your sinuses become infected, then you will need an antibiotic to clear it up, which the Dr will prescrbe if s/he feels it necessary.

Colin, I hope for your sake he does'nt prescribe the horrible AB's that I got, I had severe head aches as well, methinks the tabs were disigned to taste awfull, so it took my mind off the sore head.

Both myself and OH had flu for about 4 weeks, still not 100% now, but found the best thing for congestion was steam, helps clear the head, I also suffer with my sinuses and we BOTH had flu jabs too, so a waste of time they were!
