Bull Breed Get Together

Some pictures from a meet some fellow bull breed owners had. The dogs are; Kinzys Victorian Bulldogs Taz (red) Busta (white & red pied) and Pixie (white and brindle pied). Kennys Romany Bulldog Angel and last but not least my Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cassy.

Its great to see so many fit dogs just as they should be and makes a pleasant change. Its great that these guys keep their dogs in such fantastic condition and they are all a credit to their owners. If anybody else is interested we will be holding these meets regularly so just private message me and I will give you more details (this is in Strathclyde Park, Scotland btw).

It was a great day and everybodys dogs were looking fantastic, Cassy was being very grumpy and had to be seperated from the others, turns out she is having a Phantom Pregnancy the poor soul

dont worry me I can be a bit dull sometimes! I thought you meant she was having a 'pretend' pregancy but said she might surprise u cos she really could be pregnant! lol

Hi Azz,

No worries, I thought you may have been a bit confused lol. What is happening with Cassy is she is having a false or phantom pregnancy, due to her not coming out of heat properly. Even though she hasn’t been near a male dog her body thinks she is pregnant mainly due to hormones. In turn she began “mothering” one of her toys and treating it like a pup, being overly protective and producing milk for it.

It’s a pretty common occurrence in bitches and isn’t a serious problem and she has been given the right treatment and hopefully I will see an improvement in the next week.
