Class 19 - Best Lurchers and Longdogs

Welcome to the Class for

BEST LURCHERS AND LONGDOGS

Your Judge for this class is Dogsey member

cava14una

ELIGIBILITY

Any Sighthound breed crossed with any other breed or mixture thereof,
and in any percentage, is a Lurcher

Longdogs are any Sighthound x Sighthound

If your dog is, or you believe to be, [ ie a rescue dog ], a Lurcher or Longdog as per the above definition, you are eligible for this class,
but not the Crossbreed class for dogs over 6 months of age
[ the rules differ slightly for the Crossbreed Puppy class ]

Your dog does not need to look like a `traditionally recognisable` Lurcher or Longdog,
our judge loves the diversity of `looks` and will judge each dog on its own merits
regardless of the mixture involved

Entries for this class should be of dogs over the age of 6 months and photographed in a Show pose or as near as you can get.

`Show Pose` can be free standing or not, excellent examples of what to aim for are
HERE
and
HERE

Please don`t include any identifying faces of handler,as gorgeous as you owners are,
its your dogs we want to see

You may need a friend or family member to take the pic for you [ unless free standing ] or you can have someone else stand the dog while you take the pic, so long as the photographer is not a professional as per the general rules of entry here

Virtual Companion Show FAQ

Don`t worry if your dog does`nt stand `just so`, the main thing is to enter a nice clear side-on pic of the dog standing up and it does`nt matter if the photo was taken indoors or outside

Entries will be marked as Girl or Boy
[ All on the same thread ]

You can enter as many of your dogs as are eligible for the class, but only one photo per dog.

----------------------------
Please send your entries for this class via pm to abbie

Please put the name of the class as the title on your pm

In the message body along with the photo you are submitting,
please state all of the following :

1] The dogs parentage as near as known on one or both sides
2] Dogs Age [ as near as possible ] at the time the photo was taken
3] Dogs name
4] Boy or Girl

Do not put anything else in the pm.

----------------------------

Do not post your own entries on the thread,
it will be done for you by abbie as soon as she receives your entries.

The Judge will shortlist three from each gender
which will then be placed from First to Sixth place.

The closing date for entries is
12/11/07

Good luck to all, especially to our Judge for this class
