rosie (dislocated patella )

Hello everyone! iam Posting about rosie! she is my 2 year old Cavalier king charles spaniel!
at about 8/9 months, we noticed her leg gave way! we took her to the vet and they told us she had a dislocated patella!!!! (poor girl . At about 10 months old she has a operation to fix her leg!
it did go well! but Now she has some artritis in her leg! she is on some pain killers that were given to us by the vet!
she is also on garlic tablets for her heart! as u can see rosie is a bit overweight! we are getting her weight down! she gets an hour exercise everyday!
she carnt burn as much calories as the other 2 cavaliers! because of her leg problem!
and as u can see from my pictures! rosie doesnt let it hold her back! she enjoys running, playing and being a average 2 yr old dog LOL

Aww poor Rosie! bless her she has been through the mill hasn't she!

Glad to hear that the vet has given you something for the arthritis and that her weight is going down as that will help her joints If she suffers from stiff joints it may be worth mentioning supplements such as glucosamine to your vet? Don't take my word on it as it may not be suitable but it is just a thought
