Saw a badger and (the head of) a cub on our walk last night.

We took Max out to a footpath that runs along some fields last night. We've noticed the badger setts there before but never the occupants. On the way up the track we saw an adult badger disappear into the sett. On the way back down the track we shortened Max's lead & looked at the set, we could just see the top of a fluffy head sat in the entrance. It was a tiny little cub and it was so cute!

This was about 7:30 last night, so still quite light, I was surprised they were out but I have never seen anybody there before so I guess they are happy to take their chances.

AAAH! I didn't even think how that could have been taken! Oh no - I hope people aren't wondering what kind of sicko I am posting about severed heads!

And yes, from what I saw of it, it was very cute!

I thought it too, and avoided the thread for a while for that reason. I'm delighted it's a "nice" thread after all

Sorry all! I did try and edit it but it seems that I can only edit the text and not the title. Glad that you were pleasantly surprised though Vicki!
