Swollen nose after being crated

We had to put Loki in his crate this afternoon in order to go shopping. If we hadn't he'd have paced around, howling, groaning and crying and probably broken a leg or impailed himself on something.

I hate the post-ictal part of seizures.

Anyway after getting him out we have noticed that his snout is swollen, a golf ball area just above the nose. I think he's probably stuck it through the bars and hurt it. I put an ice-pack on it but any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I would also agree with the ice pack. Give it a couple of days, if it hasn't gone down, or has got bigger, then maybe a word with the vet might help.

Big gentle kisses for my boy xxx

Thanks Helen . He's much improved now - just at the end of the seizure period (thankfully!), the hole in his leg seems to be healing (hope Keena's is too!) and the swelling has lessened.

Ah these dogs of ours don't half put us through it sometimes.
