root bed surgery tomorrow :(

had a long chat with my dentist this morning as i am still waiting for a referal to hospital ...because the pain has become unbearable he has agreed to do the op at the dentist with a specialist nurse present Lucky for me the nurse is free tomorrow morning well i say lucky I am really scared ..i am no stranger to the dentist chair and do not fear the dentist at all ...but this is another level

I have been told all about what will happen the crown will be removed and the root cut ( not filled ) ....then an incission will be made through the back of the gum then the root bed and nerves removed i will have some stitches in for a few days it dosen't sound nice but i can't continue much longer without having it done it could be as long as 3 weeks wait to be seen in hospital

so may not be around much after tomorrow

My sister has just had major works on her teeth, a couple extracted with lots of stitches which she is now finding in her mouth....yuck!! - dis-solvable stitches

She is normally petrified of the dentist, but said it wasn't as bad as she was expecting.

Good luck tomorrow, I'll give you a ring start of next week.

Inca, I know it's not much help. but you'll be fine. My friend just had this done, and apart from some soreness afterwards, she's well on the way to recovery.

Big hugs for you honey - will be thinking of you tomorrow xox
