Memory Card trouble

Usually to get pictures from my memory card from my camera on to my PC I just put my memory card in a card reader and plug it in to my tower. The light comes on the card reader and I hear a *ping* then I get a box on my screen and hey presto they they are.

Not today tho. The card holder is lighting up and Its still pinging but nothing on the screen to put the photo's on.

Any idea's anyone before I drop kick the dam thing out of the window

Try clicking Start, my computer, and you should find it there.
