Wanted - Dog/stair gate

Hiya,

We need to buy a new stair gate to keep the dogs from going upstairs and causing havoc because its all very new and exciting!!

Where is the best place to get one?
I have looked at the argos but just wondered if there was anywhere else you could suggest....

many thanks

Jay

I think Argos will be as good a price as anywhere. I got mine from John Lewis - but mainly because it was easier on the day.
The other option would be the local "Trade It" or advertising paper or even doctor's surgery where mums often advertise baby things that are no longer needed.

I got mine from Mothercare (baby gate) - it was cheaper at the time.

But I reckon Argos will prob be the easiest! Don't know anywhere else that does dog gates?

We wanted a taller dog gate as opposed to a shorter baby gate and found Argos was the cheapest by quite a long way. Some places (incl. online) wanted £10-£15 for exactly the same model Argos was selling. The Lindam one is very well made too (though if you're buying two, you'll need help carrying them to the car as they're heavy, or get them delivered)!

Yep, we've got the Argos one too. Shame you're not closer as we don't use it anymore.

I've got the Argos one too which is fine. I think there are two types, one with pressure pads and one which screws in.

Ive always used standard size baby gates. I have one on the stairs at the moment as my dogs are not allowed up there.

I have 3 stair gates sitting in my cupboard that I no longer use

I got proper dog gates ( no bars to get puppy heads stuck in ) before I brought my pup home- from petplanet.co.uk
They are £24.99 each- got 2 -they are great. The product code is 1763 Pet Gate.
I shopped around and no- one did gates this cheap and designed for dogs not babies.

Be careful with a normal Baby Gate Cookie got her head stuck in when as a pup I dread to think what would have happened if we hadn't been in.

I have a Proper Garden gate to keep Dogs in Kitchen(stops them mugging visitors) it looks really good, so I keep getting told. also touches top of Door so Parker can not jump over it.

Its a bit Dearer about £50
