CORDLESS PHONES SHOCK !

We have recently bought a cordless phone (well 2 one for the livingroom and one for the "office". After ringing a friend last night and chatting for a while (she also has cordless phone) Steven bumped into a neighbour of ours who commented on how long I was on the phone ! After some prompting he confessed he uses a radio scanner and can listen in on any calls made from and to cordless phones ! The police say as long as the scanner is used in his own home they are powerless to act and BT say they cannot help and this is quite a common occurance !

I've got DECT phones too so I'm hoping no-one listens in on my conversations.

Some people must be so sad and bored to have a radio scanner and listen in on peoples telephone conversations

The idea is creepy but why would anyone want to listen into conversations of everyday people like you and I. The famous I can understand but still feel it is the same thing a stalking and should not be allowed even if the person is within their own home. Hope 'Wiggle' you make sure your neighbour hears no good of himself .

The only problem with digital phones is that I forget you can't switch the socket off otherwise no phone
