Advert using my dogs picture...

I came across this advert today http://www.preloved.co.uk/fuseaction.../f75448b3.html

They used a picture of Takoda, taken either from here or from one of my websites from when he was about 6 months old. They didn't ask for permission. Cheeky ******** I take it as a compliment but am a bit annoyed and it is false advertisement.

I contacted the site to ask the advertisers to take it down but will probably give them a call and ask them to.

I was just a bit shocked to see my boy in someones advert!

Isnt that copyright infringment ?

I'd be very bloody annoyed is someone stole a picture of mine from a website or from here.

Best of luck with getting it removed. If you dont mind them using it then how about asking for a fee ?

Same website, somebody had posted a picture of a litter of cocker spaniel pups for sale, one of which was our Jasmine, when I told the breeder of the litter she e-mailed them and it was removed instantly.

I also recently saw a picture on the Dogslost website, somebody had a photo of 'their' missing dog, which wasn't their dog at all, but a picture taken off a well know cocker breeders website, what is the point in posting that photo unless it was an insurance scam of course.....there were people out looking for that dog too!

The nerve of some people. Were they just hoping to get away with it?

It is still there I've just been on the website.

The cheek of some people is unbelievable, this happened to us on Ebay, someone used a photo of one of our watches for sale as our pics were better than theirs. Surely it is false advertising?

Why would they use yours when they could post one of their own?!

Methinks their dog may not be so nice...

Perhaps you could just email the breeder and say 'oi! that's my dog!' or something along those lines
