*excitement*

Can't wait until omorrow - too much happening really! I'm hosting a meal for a few of us ratty people to discuss genetics etc - and eat of course lol.

And two new boys coming to me as well! Sharky and Zowie - I will post about them in Other Pets when they get here

But anyone got any tips to make the evening go smoothly? :/ I'm panicking...

xx

Sounds interesting Zounds and new ratty boys too

If you concentrate on making everyone feel at ease your panic will soon be forgotten..

Try to get as much done as early as possible so that you are not rushing around like a wet hen at the last minute.

Make a list of things to do & tick them off when they are done.

Try to leave yourself at least half-an-hour before your guests arrive to have a shower & change.

Once they've arrived - have a drink and relax

It will all go splendidly - so don't panic. If there are any hiccups you will probably be the only one to notice - so don't panic. People have come to see you, not to criticize you, your home, your cooking, etc - so don't panic.

Final tip - don't panic

thanks all! feeling much more confident about it now. Have prepared fruit salad - as it's better if left to 'stew' in its juices for a while before eating I have everything planned out - and it *should* go smoothly - and in the end if it doesn't - well - we can all have a good old laugh!

thanks again!

xx
