What a sweet old man

Hi all,
We saw an petrol lawnmower advertised in our local paper last night so oh was straight on the phone and they only lived just around the corner from us.Anyway they were a lovely elderly couple and hubby was really pleased cos he has always wanted a petrol lawnmower.
Anyway this morning we recieved a phone call from this elderly gent(george) and he had some runner bean plants and a spare spark plug for the mower,i'll be around in about 5 mins and he turned up with loads of plants,he wouldn't take any money for them.
So we are going to buy them some flowers at the weekend and take them around with a thank you card.
I said i couldn't believe how thoughtful he was

Thanks both, most of the people around here seem to be elderly,we seem to get on very well with older people. They are all very friendly and will speak even if they don't know you.
We are settling in very well and the kids are due to start new schools next week

HI,
The kids are really excited, they can't wait to make new friends.Luke seems to be a different child and keeps offering to go to the shops for us.Both he and Elizabeth went this morning, need to let them have a bit more freedom.Apparently he helped two old ladies this morning,i was so proud of him
