Excellent link Jules-i would never have thought that dog chewys would have been made out of dogs! Makes you wonder what many animal treats are made out of when produced in Asia etc where animal welfare dont excist.

I dont give my dog rawhide anyhow after a friends Bullmastiff almost choked on a lump once.

We don't know what we are buying do we really? Mine don't have rawhide anyway cos Blue nearly choked on one a few years ago.
I would feel as if i was supporting the fur trade if i bought them anyway.
My dogs appreciate a kong lined with low fat cheese spread with a treat stuck in it. It takes them ages to get it out as it sticks to the cheese spread.

Too much cruelty going on in this world. The more we can do to stop it the better. Even it means our dogs not chewing on rawhide while we are out. Probably save them choking on it anyway!

I do or should I say did.. buy Miss Poppy Rawhide chew sticks.. I will never buy them again now! I had no idea,I assumed they were made of "leftovers" from the human meat industry.. I mean meat meant for humans not the meat of humans.... i'm shocked.. I had no idea :smt078

I'll never forget watching that Gillian McKeith programme when she showed members of the public what was in hotdogs!
