Thanks Hevvur, I will take a look at the crufts one. Inca, I've got the Mikka - I think it's the guilottine though (which you mentioned to be hard work), I agree I find it really hard to use, and his nails look 'butch'

What are the guillotine ones like? How can I tell if I have them?

I'm not too impressed with the nail clippers I have either. So something easier would be great

Hope you don't mind me adding questions to your thread Maplecottage?

These are the ones I have.....in large.
They have a guard at the back of the clippers, so you don't cut too much at ones.

These are the guillotine style ones....

I think we have the same one's as you MC and I hate using them...We still have them though and now I will only cut a little away and then file the rest of the way as I am not confident enough with the clippers to just do one full cut.

I always feel as though they seem to 'crunch' the nail rather than cut it cleanly that's why I will only trim a little off the top and I worry to much cutting where it is thicker.

Thanks for the pictures Hevvur.
Looks like I have the guillotine ones then.
I think I'll try the other ones because Brandie hates having her nails done

Whichever ones you buy get a good quality pair like the orange handles in this picture,( not the guillotine they tend to fray the nails )this company are very good and helpful....
