Hydrotherapy
Well, me and Teagan went this morning!
It's a lovely place - they actually built the pool 20 years ago for their dogs (they breed Labs). They don't advertise, and aren't open to the public - they just go by word of mouth, and vets referrals!
We got there, and I got shown round, then took Teagan out of the car, into a secure garden where I let her off the lead for a look around.
Put her back on the lead and went into the pool building. It's pretty big - 22' x 13', and 4' deep.
We put the leads on Teagan - 2 collars ands 2 leads, and the guy told me what to do.
We had to drag Teagan into the pool, and she splashed about, and drank half the water
I kept guiding her towards my voice, and me and les (the guy), were shouting loads of praise.
We only did a minute or so, and took her out, and she looked happy enough, and wagged her tail!
I think we got her into the pool about 5 or 6 times all together, short swims, with lots of breaks in between. By the end, she was just managing to 'swim', and not splash in the water, and just managing to keep her bum afloat!! lol
I think she enjoyed it anyway, and we are going again on Thursday afternoon.
Once I have been a few times, and Les thinks I am ok, I won't need someone there to help me, I can do it on my own, and the price goes down.
Ohh, and they make sure I can claim back on my insurance! lol
Teagan limped when we got back home, but Les said to expect this, as she isn't used to it.
