Hello from Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Hi all first of all I would like to say thank you for allowing me to join this forum.
I am a wife to Robbie a mother of 4 and a Nanna of 6.
Until 8 weeks ago I was the proud mummy to Meena my 11 year old Rottie who unfortunately had to be euthanized on 26th September 2016, Bella my 13 year old Staffie who also had to be euthanized on 1st November 2016 and Tommy my 9 year old Jack Russell who is now not eating properly and is very sad in himself. We are getting a new puppy ( a rottie) tomorrow and i'm a little worried how he will react as he seems to be missing the other dogs but I also know how feisty he can be, so wish me luck.

Hi Maxine and welcome to Dogsey. So sorry to hear about your recent losses I hope that your new puppy will give Tommy a new lease of life and a new friend to play with.

My suggestions would be to introduce them initially on neutral ground away from your home. Have a crate ready for your new pup and she can go in there, away from Tommy but he will still be able to see/smell her. Make sure to still give Tommy loads of fuss and attention so he doesn't feel jealous. Good luck - I hope it all goes well. Pictures too please.

Welcome to Dogsey. Sorry about the loss of your dogs. Hopefully the new puppy will help perk up your Jack Russell, once the dogs get used to each other.
