Lump under spay incision

Hi my aunts dog parson terrier was spayed friday and shes going back today for check up iv changed her appointment from a nurse to a vet as she has quite a big lump the length of the incision under it.
I dont know how to upload a picture.
I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem as iv never had this with my girls before.

Hope the images open.

The scratches on her belly are where they shaved her and they gave antibiotics and said she had a rash.
She has been stitched on the inside.

Feel sure that the vet will soon be able to put your mind at ease. Looks pretty much OK to me, there are frequently lumps and bumps around stitches that tend to flatten out and generally disappear with time. Hope the little one is fine - sure she will be!

Hello Lesley the wound is not weeping or inflamed is it and you bitch is not showing signs of illness .
It isn't unusual to have a degree of swelling/bruising of the tissues after a spay, no two are exactly the same.
Looking at the pictures I would not be unduly concerned.

However I would have suggested telephoning the vet if you are unsure about something but you are doing the best thing and going anyway .
