*** Jasmine - 2 Years Old - Fawn Female Lurcher **
is a sweet little saluki x greyhound with perhaps a touch of something else too! She has had a rather difficult life having been given away emaciated and neglected to a kind lady who looked after her before she was homed. Sadly that home also didn't work out for Jasmine and she has been returned again because of her separation anxiety and also because she became nervous towards other dogs whilst out and about. Jasmine has SO much love to give to the right family and we are committed to finding her that right family or couple who will be able to help her (to learn) to cope with her anxieties. If you think you could be those special people please contact us for an informal chat.
Location: Jasmine is currently in a foster home in Norfolk.
Key Points: Very sweet and kind, trainable, good with children, good in the car, LOVES people, can pull on the lead and lunge at other dogs due to anxiety, can suffer from separation anxiety so would be great if any potential adopters have experience of this.
~ Personality ~
Jasmine is a lovely girl who is both gentle and kind and now in need of a really lovely forever home. She will need at least one other gentle dog for company and guidance as at present she suffers from separation anxiety which isn't surprising as her confidence must be at an all time low. We feel she will really relax and settle when she is finally in her forever home with a kind, knowledgeable and patient family.
~ In the Home ~
Jasmine is great in the home and is a clean little girl who although has landed back in kennels also tries very hard to keep it clean. She sleeps through the night but prefers to be close to you if possible. Again we feel that with another kind dog she will very quickly gain confidence with this.
~ Other Animals ~
Jasmine gets on with gentle quiet dogs but can lunge and bark at dogs on walks as she is frightened and will need her confidence building up again. Our behaviourist can give ongoing support with this issue if needed as with the separation anxiety.
~ Out and About ~
This girlie adores going for walks but can still pull occasionally so should ideally be walked on a ‘no pull’ harness. Ongoing lead training would be recommended but she is very clever and willing to learn.
~ Where Can I Live? ~
Little Jasmine desperately needs stability in her life now and to be adopted by a family who is willing to give her time to gain in confidence. Jasmine would be very happy living with children and will most definitely need at least one other canine friend to show her the ropes and cuddle with her. She really does love people so ideally a home/family with someone at home most of the time and/or would be ideal especially suffering with separation anxiety. She can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a home checker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Suffolk to meet and collect her. Please be aware that we do not home dogs to families with children under 8 years of age.
