Tommy was brought over from Spain with no rescue back-up and irresponsibly re-homed to a lady who worked 12 hours a day and lived in a static caravan with no garden. She was told he was a Yorkie and she kept him for 3 weeks!



Tommie is a fun loving high energy dog who is extremely bright. He has not really had any training and he is now in a foster home and they are working really hard with him. His recall is pretty bad but his fosterer says “they are getting there. He just gets so excited and loves chasing around the woods. He see's life as fun which can actually include everyone he meets! There have been a few people who have been Tommy’d when out and gone home quite muddy!!! He is full of fun and has probably never been let off the lead. He will play with everything and can be very bouncy around the other dogs which can be annoying for them. None of this is his fault ... he is just a young, extremely bright dog who has amazing potential and needs what we call a proper doggy home. He loves he cuddles and has no food aggression or possessive over his toys. He sleeps well at night and is 100% clean in the house”.



Rehoming Criteria: Tommy because he is so smart says: “I've heard them talking about what my forever home might be like. They say they're quite worried because I'm such a pretty dog and people might want me because I look nice and not realise just how busy and messy I can be and how much time and work it might take to get me to be good. I think it would be fun to live somewhere where they will take me out for lots of long walks off the lead to tire me out and not panic when I won't come back straight away, or get too scared to let me off again. I hope they won't get cross with me when I make the house untidy or muddy and jump on the furniture with mucky paws. And I'd really like it if they let me sleep on their bed with them and not leave me on my own for very long, because I don't like that much. I'm really smart so it would be fun if they would take me to obedience classes and agility ... fun things like that”!



We are looking for an adult only home or at the most a home with teenagers. Tommy is neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed & flea’d. He also has an update to date Pet Passport.
