Dog Walking Business - Holiday Cover

Hi.
I am considering starting my own dog walking business and have been researching everything involved i.e. costs, paperwork, pricing, advertising etc.
One thing however that I can't seem to find any information on is taking holiday. I realise that this will be unpaid but presumably you have to find cover for any period you are away or risk losing the business?
If you are a dog walker what do you do about holiday time? Or do you just never take holiday ever again!?!
Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Good for you
I'd imagine your clients would expect you to have holiday time, same as they will As long as there is plenty of notice given so they can make alternative arrangements, can't see that there would be a problem
Wishing you all the very best in your new venture

Friend of mine started a dog walking business and without going into what/why/how, he informs his customers he will have a holiday on whatever day for how long and they accept it

I'd find another good dog walker in the same area that you get on with and you can both refer to each other if you go on holiday.
That way you have someone you know and who will possibly know the dogs you walk already when you go away and your clients won't have to look for another dog walker themselves and they have someone they can trust.
Same when the other dog walker goes on holiday, you can walk their dogs and make up for the money you lost during your holiday

Haha! Great photo!

Good idea about buddying up with another dog walker. Think that would be the best option.

Thanks again for all input!
