My feral cat

He has had a busy summer protecting his territory..

What you cannot see on this picture is wee dog at the base of the post gazing longingly but warily up at the cat; wee dog has been biffed frequently for taking liberties!

A very majestic looking cat .
My brother has a farm high in the Pennines and has lots of feral cats that come and go.
He does not farm and has a big dry barn (with a cat flap in the door) in which food and water is placed for any of the current cat population.

In return they get rid of the vermin

Sounds like a fair deal!

I'm sure you don't, the colours must change the look of the landscape constantly. It's really beautiful.

Grand so! This one is a mixed one of great friendliness and I rather think he was dumped. I have had to block the cat flap as he has ambitions to be the ONLY cat here and a house cat at that and was getting in and spraying and attacking my two.

He keeps the real ferals away.. have seen him do battle with one runty ginger who had ambitions here... nasty looking brute is that one.

So now he has a bed in the outside utility and gets fed well there.

Well, autumn must be here and winter not far away.... feral has reverted to his cold weather quarters, a cat box filled with bedding in the shed when he has been sleeping in the outdoor utility all summer.. ah well!

Not so much the colours as the mountains are bare, but the clouds climbing up them, the light changing. Learning when rain is soon.. seeing it reach out over the far ranges.
