New year traditions

Who all sticks to the old traditions ,
The house had to be cleaned from top to bottom ,
All washing to be done ,
A fresh bed to climb into
Door knocker and steps cleaned
Meal prepared for the 1st (probably to get over the hangover )
My mother drilled this into the family unless this was done ,bad luck would continue thought the year
Well I'm leaving nothing to chance ,even the muppets have had a bath (don't think they were too impressed )
Whiskey ,shortbread ,blackbun stovies
at the ready ,(just hope we get a first foot now )
Here's to a guid new year one and all

The only tradition we've ever had is to never have wet washing hanging in house
So to be sure I've not done any washing today

Happy New Year everyone

Never do washing on new years day, or you wash a member of your family away.

Never go into the new year owing money, pay all debts by NYE

Happy new year all.......oh and I have a meal ready for tomorrow
