Humphrey, Patterdale, DOB 2011 – Poole, Dorset
Homing Requirements: Humphrey needs a sensitive family who can encourage him and build his self confidence: In terrier hands he shines. Manages well as only dog but may settle with another dog. Unassessed with cats. Humphrey needs a terrier proof garden and exit management.

His Story: Humphrey may have lived with his litter sister as a similar age female Patterdale was handed in to another rescue 'found stray' at the same time and in the same area. Humphrey is now neutered, chipped and fully vax'd. Currently in foster for Christmas.
Advert: Humphrey is a shy Patterdale who has learnt to trust in the challenging kennel environment. He has very kind eyes and is ever so gentle. He needs security in his garden plus gates and doors should be carefully managed as he was found stray and deserves to be cared for. Humphrey loves his walks. His fosterer said: "We met a gang of joggers, Humphrey would have loved to have joined them but I wasn't keen on running! Then we were passed by a big group of cyclists, again, Humphrey cool as a cucumber, no reaction, just mild curiosity". Humphrey travels well in a travel crate.
Humphrey is a broken coated Patterdale and has no tail which probably is a birth deformity rather than dock and both back legs have a slight affectation but do not restrict him or cause pain but affect his running gait as seen in the video on the extender: Makes him look sadder than he is. Humphrey deserves the best and needs a loving environment to find himself as an only dog or with another. "Humphrey is one of those brilliant Terriers that is all business when out on a walk and a bit of a cuddle monster in private. He is such a lovely natured, handsome little chap".
Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
