I find that a bath with dog shampoo, dry them off and then a spray with some coconut and vanilla spray does the job

I do remember reading about the ketchup one though! I've also heard talc works well.

I always heard that it was the vinegar in the ketchup that removed the smell.
I use dog shampoo when mine roll in it, it removes it fine.
The shampoo I use is the groomers, I have never used ketchup on my dog though.
I have apple cider vinegar that I spray on my dogs if they are stinking a bit.
I have a hairy GSD and she baths like a chincilla, 5 seconds to get wet 3 days to dry.

rubber gloves on tomato ketchup rubbed in,rinsed, then shampoo and a good hosing usually works. i tend to spray grooming spray on once the area is dry. i hate the smell of fox poo.

Done that this week on Buffy, in fact I probably do it at least once a week on one or more of mine, although it is usually the girls that do it.

It is the vinegar in ketchup that removes the smell, though might try spraying with cider vingegar.
