Vet trip or wait?

Just looking for some advice here please.

Kibo is normally fed on Skinners puppy kibble with a spoon of butchers tripe mixed in twice a day.

On Sunday I gave him a raw chicken wing as a treat. I supervised him eating it and he ate it really slowly and crunched it up well.

On Monday evening we were out on a walk and he stopped and vomited, not a huge amount, but there were what looked like bits of wood in it - he is a ****** for picking up bits of sticks when we're out and chewing them up before I can get them off him.

Yesterday mid morning he was sick again, this time a lot more, again with what looked like bits of wood in there. Last night he ate most of his dinner but left some in the bowl. This morning he didn't eat all his breakfast, but left about a quarter of it.

I had to go out this afternoon and left him with OH and a tripe stick. He's been very sick all over his crate, but of course, OH hadn't examined the contents before he threw all the bedding in the machine.

In himself he seems fine, his usual bouncy self and his poos are fine and firm with nothing untoward looking in them.

Am I stressing that it may be a blockage, if he had a blockage would he still be pooing as normal?

All advice gratefully received.

I'd vet just in case, thats a lot of being sick. It might be just a bug but best to be sure.

here is a thought.there may be a relation ship to raw and eating sticks and grasses.old timmers, such as my grand father will tell youa dog eats this stuff because its instinctive, all k9 usually eat the stomach lining of the pray the downed, first, they are graz animals and its the enzimes the dog /k9 are looking for, from the stomach.it helps to digest raw meat,iv read up on this and there are some ineresting things said about this.may be this might shed some light?trip to the vet never hurts as well,

Yeah I'd suggest a vet trip

Don't want to scare you but Bailey showed no outward signs of his blockage for days it was only when all the food he'd already eaten had passed through and whatever he'd eaten on top finally got so full up he just couldn't take any more that I realised anything was wrong He threw up everything he ate after that even water

The blockage was at the top end of his intestines

Hopefully he'll be fine however - better safe than sorry I always think

I would phone and ask if you can speak to the vet. I know that my vet is quite happy to talk on the 'phone and will advise whether he needs to see my dog, or it's safe to wait. Hopefully, yours is the same

I would give the vet a call and explain the situation.

Hope he is better soon and it's nothing too serious.

Good vibes please

Oh no. At least the wood is coming out though, I guess. As long as it doesn't do any damage on the way though!

You're doing the right think by taking him to the vets. Good luck!
