Flea treatments - don't know which to buy?!

im looking at flea stuff for the dogs (and cats) and i dont understand why things are priced so differently. for instance 3 pippettes of frontline is £16 yet say 3 of a bob martin one are £8....

on both packets they both have the same explanation... contains blah blah blah.. effective for 4 weeks... etc

so why are they so different in price, if they all do the same job, and all last for the same time?

will buying a cheaper one make any difference to my dog being treated for fleas?

different ingredients. I can sell Johnsons and Bob Martin products but not Frontline etc. as that is a licensed medicine and I would have to do a course to be able to sell it. Feedback from my customers indicates that they are not seeing the results from Frontline that they previously saw, maybe the fleas are becoming immune? I don't know. I use Advantage when I have to.

Well I wouldn't use the spot on personally. I've heard they aren't as safe as some of the 'proper' brands. I don't rate Bob Martin products at all tbh. The only stuff I buy of that ilk is Johnsons4Fleas tablets.

bob martins imo is DANGEROUS! and kinda useless..it seems to just 'stun' the fleas...and has killed and nearly killed many a cat!!

when using 'chemicals' imo u shouldnt be guided by price alone.

also when it comes to fleas remember they live in the environment and u have to treat all the animals in the household.

im sticking with advocate and when i cant get that i use stronghold.

eta..i thought frontline was effective for fleas in dogs for 8 weeks
