Bella, Older Staffie, DOB 99 Reading, Berks
Bella, Older Staffie, DOB 99 Reading, Berks
Homing Requirements: Bella needs a loving family to offer her a retirement home. She is now in robust health but obviously insurance cover will not be feasible for her needs in the future. She is deaf so needs awareness with front door security & on-lead walking as she wont hear danger. Bella wants companionship like sleeping next to the bed not in the kitchen; she doesn't like to be closed in but settles when left for short periods.
Her Story: Bella was saved from being put to sleep by a very caring dog warden. We removed 6 rotten teeth and a few old age lumps. We treated her for tapeworm and then a caring person offered her a one week foster place. We then traced her family but they felt they couldn't care for her. Another family have offered to foster her, providing she gets on with their dog which she should as she lived with 2 dogs in the past. Spayed, chipped and in process of vax'd.
Advert: Bella is a dear soul who is in her 12th year. Her mobility is good and she has all her facilities except for hearing. She has gone through her vet M.O.T. so nothing is outstanding re her health needs except for her 2nd vax which is due in early September. She is no longer in pain as she was carrying rotten teeth when she was found. Bella walks well on her lead and meets dogs well. She was living with 2 whippets for the last 3 years since her owner died. Her energy is placid, she sleeps and potters, ever aware of your whereabouts.
Bella is a smaller Staffie, in her twilight years. What a super companion she is. If someone is looking to offer care and needing a dog who adores them in return and who will snuggle up on the sofa at night, trotting into the kitchen with you to put the kettle on, Bella is your Belle!
