Pork shank

Just picked up a cheap pork shank. I want to check that it's ok the feed? It's got a nice big bone in the middle that he will love, however I'm unsure how digestable it is?

I got one of those from Morrison's this week, reduced to 29p! It's in the freezer at the moment, but will make Merlin a very nice dinner at some point.

Mine is just plain raw pork, not brined or salted. I've fed pork quite a lot, never had any problems with it. Both dogs used to get raw pork spare ribs every day - until the butcher doubled the price and halved the weight of the packs.

Mine gets squitty after pork shank, so I don't feed it, but that's not to say yours will, you can only try, and cross your fingers! He will love it either way, mine certainly did! x

Mine eat it no probs, I generally get mine short dated at Morrisons (who tend to have the cheaper cuts of meat).

Thanks. Mine was a Morrisons bargain too, but not as good as 29p!!! I'll stick it in the freezer and he can have it next weekend.

I give mine pork shanks too without any problems. I never knew how tough pig skin is until I started feeding raw!
