HELP!!!! Plumbing problem

The cold water tap in kitchen has been dripping for week or so, yesterday it started to tricKle & ive spent two days trying to get a plumber to agree to come out. One is coming in Thurs

The water is now running out of the tap quite fast & wont turn down at all. Should i turn tbe CH off etc & turn tbe water off at the mains or just leave it?

Ive to go out at 7am in morning - should i turn it off at the mains then?

LOgic tells me it wont do any harm but it just seems so alarming when you can turn it off or down

Sounds like you need a new washer in your tap. No need to turn the CH off or mains aslong as it is running away. Its probaby only a very minor job.

Personally, I would turn the stopcock off so no more water is wasted....... it won't do any harm if you're not using any water.

Just turn it back on when you need it.
