Ollie 20/06/2006 to 16/02/2011.

Our beautiful boy has gone to the bridge this afternoon.

We spoke to Nadia and she felt the time was right. She said she would ring our vet and he could go there or she would do it. Of course we opted for the latter.

We were put in a consult room while she took Ollie to put a catheter in and when we were called back he was laying on a blanket with one of his favourite nurses. She then went and we were with him then another one of his favouirte nurses arrived with a bowl of chicken, sausage and ham and she got him a bowl of water. Then we said goodbye.

It was done so thoughtfully but poor Nadia broke down with us. She said she has never done that before but she had fallen in love with him too.

The sun shone for him. On the way home there were some spots of rain on the way home must of known a light had gone out of our lives today.

Run like the wind Ollie your legs will now work darling boy.

Thank you both forgot to add we are having a pm done if nothing else it may help others in our position in the future.

Nadia did say as he didnot die at the vet school we could opt out but we had decided if she asked we would agree.

Oh Lynn,Wish I could give you a hug,Im sitting here feeling so heartbroken for you.
You are right -a light has gone out of your life-I can relate to that feeling completely.
What you did ,you did out of love and Ollie knows that.I know youll have so many messages from others who have followed Ollies story and hope that they give you some comfort.
Please thank Nadia from all of us here, as she seems to have felt a real bond with Ollie and has been a great support to you.
Thinking of you tonight.God bless ,Ollie, your mum and dad love you so much.
Run free,Ollie, at Rainbow Bridge and tell my Lulu her mum and dad miss her so much
Lots of love and big,big hugs from Maureen(and little Ollie)
