Swollen Glands and Sore Throat

I have been suffering with Swollen glands and a sore throat for nearly a week,been taking paracetamol,throat lozengers etc with no effect so gave up and went to the Dr's this morning.

I have a nasty throat infection and the Dr prescribed me some ab's.
It's strange though because I don't have a cold or anything but according to the Dr there are alot of nasty bugs about at the moment.

Hope you feel better soon. Michael has always suffered with sore throats and tonsillitis and recently he was very ill after arriving home from Dubai. I kept telling him to go see the Dr and it turned out he had Quinsies (sp) really nasty so you were wise to go when you did. (((Hugs))).

Thanks Lynn,
I don't actually feel poorly as such,feeling a little more tired than normal maybe a little run down,but just getting back into a routine after the busy time at christmas.
