That's so sad And then those poor pups go out into the world with god knows what health issues from poor breeding, it's atrocious. The breeders should be ashamed!

I hate the thing with sizes too, it drives me mad! It's a toy breed for gods sake, it's already small so why the need for 'teacup' dogs? No doubt so they'll fit more readily into some girl's overpriced hand bag

It's just sad..the fact there is little if any consideration into the quality of the dogs bred is what really gets to me, anything with a curly tail n a bitta fluff passes as a pom. Some have floppy ears, or hardly any coat, or are huge, or look more like shelties..the last is endless. It's just really sad as there will be, and is, loads of owners buying them and not knowing what their getting. I see rescue figures getting higher in months/years to come too.

It's sad isn't it,
Don't need to tell you about the amount of Staffords been bred at the moment, the majority advertised online are blue

Little consideration to the quality of the dogs as long as it's blue
Most ads boast about the number of Champions within the pedigree, yet not one of these blue dogs have been shown, then they say how they conform to the standard,by looking at the pics and sometimes descriptions it's easy to spot they don't conform to the breed standard, light eyes, untidy ears, grey noses the list continues but as long as it's blue it will do

Yes and yet there are some people on here who say "why breed to a standard" - if people did and did it responsibly with health testing - these types of adverts wouldn't exist

Only recently, someone stole images of my girl to use for advertising their BY unhealth tested offspring - thankfully someone spotted it - but wonder how often it does happen and goes un-noticed

Sal as you may know we had staffords for a lot of years, a lot of family friends are still heavily involved and with breed rescue so i always have a nose..some of the pups now Erm yes, quality has gone out the window. And i agree Swarthy, with poms it's common to use photos of puppymill masked sites from the U.S of puppies in pretty set ups, when really they look nothing liek that. Very sad how such lovely and innocent creatures are manipulated so much for monetry gain
