Why is it, when you're hoovering....

.... you spend ages going over, and over, and over the same thing the hoover just doesn't want to pick up, instead of picking the darn *thing* up and putting it in the bin. Or, go as close to the skirting board or piece of furniture as you can, to try and get those little bits right up against the edge, and then try another angle, and another, instead of getting the crevice tool out the in the first place
