Crop spraying

Out for our usual storm around the local countryside the other night and when we got back the boy was all sticky. We had been along a footpath bordered by Rapeseed and evidently the sprayers had been out (ive seen them round our local crop fields earlier in the week). We went off to bed and he was having a good lick of himself and it occured to me that I should actually find out what the stuff is that they spray?

Id hate to think of anything toxic building up in his system when I go to great lengths to ensure he doesnt eat anything artificial or even inhale hairspray and the like when im getting ready to go out.

Anyone know what it is that they spray on it?

Also hes a big puddle drinker of the dirty type usually found alongside the edges of the fields!

It's hard to say 100%, without asking the farmer. It could be the glyphosate herbicide 'Roundup'. It's not something I'd like to ingest.

Here are some differing viewpoints:

Hmmm not sure who owns the land but will try and grab the guy across the road as he freelances I think?

When they were spraying out back the other day i brought him in the house as it was wafting over.

Am think it is more of a pesticide as it is sprayed on them once they are growing and makes them all sticky like a fine sugar spray? Think Roundup does weeds? Not sure though.
