Evie - a very special Girl
Evie - a very special Girl
Dear, Dear Evie finds herself in the embarrassing position of being in rescue. She has been in kennels since she was found stray in September with a brief interlude of one week in foster. This perked Evie up and proved what an easy sweet soul she is. She has a very special friend, her rubber chicken, which she keeps with her and parades with pride upon meeting her loved ones and strangers. She shines through with her loving nature and adores human company.
The sadness of Evie's situation is she has tumours on her right chest wall. A large one and 'seed associated' we removed. However other seeds have appeared so we know that Evie has cancer which obviously will shorten her life, but by how much we are unsure - Evie is around 7-8 years old. She did appear to become disheartened several weeks ago and gave up eating, but with special attention and then a respite foster she perked up and proved herself to be a loving pet ... a treasure to behold and care for.
Evie is asking if anyone can offer her a peaceful home environment to live out her days indeed months. She is monitored by our vet in Twickenham who adores her. She currently needs very little treatment other than good quality food and companionship. She doesn't need to be walked outside, but a garden that is accessible is a vital pleasure for her and will obviously allow her to maintain housetraining. Evie sits in her kennel alone, but with her chicken. She is intelligent, approachable and welcoming of visitors. She is a little guarded of a direct fast approach to her side as you would expect and hence an only pet status without young children who may just want to hug her, as her demeanour cries out for hugs, would be best. Aware older children just fine. Evie is loving and gentle ... and takes her treats with the gentlest of gratitude. Evie - a radiant star.
