Dogs with One Dropped Testicle (Unilateral Cryptorchid)

I am just wondering how common this is in other breeds (obviously I know that it occurrs in my chosen breed). It is just that I have read to posts on Dogsey this week ref two other breeds and I just wondered if it is common in all breeds? A quick look on the net would suggest that it occurs in various breeds.

They thought my lab/collie had one but after being operated on to find the other, it transpired he only ever had one!!

It occurs in all breeds and crossbreeds. Ive boarded mongrels like it, and also bilaterals.

That is what they said about my collie /retriever. They were very wrong and the other eventually turned up from somewhere., He lived as a 'rig' all his life. Would bitch if anything around was in season (often at agility weeks etc) but worked in the ring no problem.

I always did think his behaviour was that of an entire dog!

So be careful and keep a careful look out for a possibloe emergence

i was going to say that sounded a tad suss it can be like looking for a needle in a haystack and can be frustrating...but the only time we have never found one it was because we found a uterus instead.

Werewolf, perhaps your breed as obtained the defective gene from the GSD as certain lines are known to produce this.
