I Think I'm Having Babies!

My sparrow nesting box has been on the wall for 5 years but never had a visitor.
Today I have spied a male and female sparrow popping in and out!
Yaaaaaay I think I might become a granny all over again.

Congratulations Granny, we will need some pics of the grandkids now

I'm an expectant granny too, blue tits any time soon

Stand out in the cold....



Acutally the Sparrow is in decline at the moment so I would be pleased to see them nesting in my garden.

WE have had the Blackbirds fledge this week...the blue tits I think are either just hatched or about to. It is lovely isn't it?
Sadly I think the magpies got to the dunnocks nest.

Next door have them nesting in their roof...they moved there after the people next door to them blocked the holes off. Not as many now though, lot number one has fledged this week (and have been sitting in one of our trees...) lot number two will be on their way judging by the parents behaviour on the same tree the other day... I mean really...not what you want to see when eating your toast!!!

We put the box up because we put up new fascia (sp) which blocked their nesting place.
