As you can see its a work in progress but finished the baskets and troughs today.

Do you put gel crystals in all your containers, to help with fluid retention, or just water a lot?

No crystals but I do use the compost that is water retentive the Westland one...I also water.....morning and night

Is your first choice hose or can?
I like to use the watering can with a fine rose on my container plants, I find it quite soothing watering and listening to the evening birds.

For the pots baskets and troughs I choose a watering can. SLow but I can see each pot and the plants in them and ho they are doing and deadhead too...
