It is so sad when black dogs are overlooked, nothing like having a shiny little coke bottle - one of Griffin's nicknames when he was a little pup! - walking next to you gleaming in the sunshine! Great idea for a thread, if only other people would agree with us all now...

I always wanted a black gsd and this is what I got. I had no idea that people could be funny about black dogs until I got Phoebe but we've actually had people cross to the other side of the road to avoid us. I know I may be a tiny bit biased but I think she's quite gorgeous and not in any way scary or threatening.

What stunning, gorgeous, fab black dogs you all have The only downside is they are harder to spot when its dark

Stunning dogs - everyone of them - my heart belongs to the GSDs I have to admit but would gladly take any of the others home too,especially those little ankle biters..........

Paddy was overlooked at the kennels for months
All those people who passed her kennel and didnt give her a chance because of her colour have lost out. Shes an absolute angel, as is her gorgeous black hubby phillip
