i didnt niether till we visited the breeder!him and his brother were the only two long haired out of the litter.they are much better health wise than the other sharpeis because there hair protects there wrinkles so they dont ever have any skin complaints he also has no trouble with his eyes because he isnt very wrinkly.although he is a pedigree in england you cant show long haired sharpeis (apparently you can in america)this doesnt matter to us as we didnt get him to show.i would love to post a photo of him but i dont know how to!if you know then please let me know.thanks.

Ohhh he is gorgeous! I didn't know you could get long-hairs either, wow what a looker!:smt007

I do love Shar-Peis they are so striking, it is sad that so many seem affected by excema and have eye-problems too They are a lovely looking dog, Sid adores them too, one thing that puts me off having one is the potential health-probs, sad really

Wow he's gorgeous I've never seen a long haired one either. He does kind of look like a chow, except for the face!

Welcome to Dogsey
