Hi, Clifford does have his regular health checks when he has his jabs and nothing hip-related has come up.

As for his anal glands, he has been neutered. I wondered if that made a difference. My previous dog Arthur- the same cross breed- was not neutered (this was many years ago)and had a lot of trouble with his glands.

Clifford is seven (just!) and we got him when he was 10 months old directly from his owners who had left their number with the RSPCA home but had not admitted him. The previous owners said they couldnt keep up with his energy and attention seeking, but I don't think he had been socialised properly as although he lived with their other dog he has had real reactive issues emerging in adulthood- which have got a lot better with training and us taking the pressure off him in social situations.
He has always seemed an old soul- do you know what I mean?
